A Crafty Easter

If you are anything like me, the big ticket items for holiday celebrations are well under control and moving along according to plan. Now it is time to fine tune the plan and sort out what you can do to give it an extra touch of charm. Since most Easter celebrations involve and revolve around keeping the kids entertained, I dug up a few options for quick crafts that should be just as much fun to make as they are to look at.

Jelly Belly Jelly Beans, 49 Assorted Flavors, 10-Pound Box
Grab a needle and some elastic thread and use the beans in place of colorful beads. You can prepare these before hand and include them in an Easter basket or use the project as an activity for the kids during the festivities. Either way they get a colorful accessory that they can snack on later in the day!

Jelly Belly Carrot Shaped Tangerine Jelly Beans

When I host a gathering for a holiday such as Easter, I like to have a small basket of goodies for each person to take home. Unfortunately, my budget does not always accommodate my crafty notions! A festive and less costly option are to use cone shaped cellophane, add some orange jelly beans and tie the top with a cute green ribbon. As guests head home they can grab one for the road.

Want the beauty of Lilies without the allergy complaints? Grab some green pipe cleaner and some white construction paper to get crafting! An ideal project for the kids in attendance to work on as their contribution to the festivities. You could even ask them to make one for each person in attendance and offer them as party favors. Making them even more special, each flower is made from a child's hand print!

Probably one for the older kids - or the adults who need a craft fix - these paper bunnies would be SO cute resting at each place setting filled with just a few sweet treats. A simple touch to add a little holiday craft to the decor!
